# Trigger - Left Segment

This trigger adds people to a Flow when they leave a specific Segment.

Note that this trigger only works when people leave the Segment in the future (i.e., after activating the Flow), and not for people that have left the Segment in the past.

To set up the step simply select the Segment. Note that Segments are shown in alphabetical order:

For instance, this trigger can be used to send a Slack notification to your customer success team once a person leaves the Engaged People Segment:
