Recurly Triggers
Encharge supports a number of Recurly triggers:
- Recurly Trial Ends
- Recurly Trial Started
- Recurly Activated Subscription
- Recurly Canceled Subscription
These triggers will add a person to a Flow in Encharge when the billing action is performed.
Note that Encharge supports two-way sync with Recurly – new and updated customers will automatically sync to Encharge. Once you connect Paddle all of your subscription data like Trial start and end dates, plan ID, MRR, and cancellation reason will automatically sync to Encharge user profiles.
You don't have to do anything extra to activate this feature apart from mapping the payment provider fields to Encharge fields. In other words, you don't need to use a Recurly trigger step to sync that data.
Connecting Recurly
Before you can use these triggers you need to connect your Recurly account to Encharge. To do that go to your apps, select Recurly, and follow the instructions to create a Webhook in Recurly.
Note that you can currently have just one Intercom account connected to Encharge.
How to set up Recurly triggers?
These triggers don't require any setup – a person will be added to a Flow in Encharge when the billing action is performed. You simply need to connect them to an action step or a filter step connected to an action.
Important note:
The Trial Ends trigger will start an automation regardless of the customer's paying status. Even if the Customer has converted to a subscription, the trigger will execute nonetheless. To handle this, add a Check Field Step after the trigger as follows:
Make sure the Check Field condition is set as the Field that represent the Customer's Subscription Status.
Common questions
Will this trigger automatically import existing Recurly users?
No. This trigger will only add Recurly users that perform a billing action after you activate the Flow.
