Salesforce Integration Overview
Overview
Our integration offers a powerful two-way sync data transfer between Salesforce and Encharge. You now have the ability to keep all your customer data updated in Salesforce completely automatically. Changes and actions performed on contacts/leads in either system will be synced ensuring data integrity. Not only you can sync default contact/lead fields, but also form submissions, page visits, and email activity. That's right, all email activity can be synced from Encharge to Salesforce almost instantly.
Connecting Salesforce
Connecting Salesforce is a 5 step process most of which is very simple and straightforward. You can start the integration from our Apps page
- Step 1 - Connect both apps using the API. Click "Connect" and follow the steps.
- Step 2 - Install Encharge managed package from Salesforce AppExchange. The same goes here, click Install and follow the steps.
- Step 3 - Set up your Sync Activity. (Optional).
- Step 4 - Set up your Sync Filtering (Optional)
- Step 5 - Map your fields. The majority of the fields will be automatically mapped. You might see some fields that are not mapped, so if you want those mapped as well, you'll need to look for the appropriate Encharge field from the dropdown or create custom fields.
Sync Activity
During step 3 of the setup process, you'll have the ability to decide on additional syncing features.
Form Submissions
If you're using Encharge's Site Tracking technology to track submissions from an embedded HTML form on your site, then you can enable "Form Submissions" and Encharge will sync the data right into your Salesforce account. You'll be able to see what forms your contacts/leads are submitting and interacting with.
Page Visits
Similarly to Form Submissions, our Site Tracking technology also helps track what pages are your potential customers visiting. If you enable this option, page visit events will be sent to your Salesforce account.
Email activity
If you enable this option, all email activity events will be sent to Salesforce. You'll be able to see what emails your potential customers receive and their respective actions in your Salesforce account.
Sync Filtering
We understand that you might not be interested in syncing your whole Salesforce account data, and for that reason, Encharge gives you the ability to filter incoming data traffic.
During setup, you'll be able to decide on filtering criteria in Step 4. You can filter by any Salesforce field - you can find all fields listed in the dropdown. For example, you can filter by Lead Status. This is one of the most important defaults Salesforce fields and as such, it gives you the ability to segment traffic based on where your leads are in the sales process. You can also use multiple filters to shape your criteria giving you precision and control of your data flow.
Triggers and Actions
Encharge has 3 triggers:
and 1 action:
In most cases, New Lead and New Contact will be used to trigger marketing automation flows for nurturing any potential customers. On top of that, you can monitor any fields of importance and take action if necessary with the help of the New Field Match trigger. Last but not least, you can create contacts/leads back into Salesforce - this can be particularly useful if you have any opt-ins integrated with Encharge.
Supported Fields?
Encharge supports all default Salesforce fields in addition to any custom fields you may have created yourself.
Common Questions?
Will this trigger automatically import existing leads to Encharge?
No. This trigger will only add new Salesforce leads. To add existing Salesforce leads export leads from Salesforce and import them in Encharge.
If I import leads to Salesforce will they enter a Flow through this trigger?
Yes.
