Trigger - New Intercom Lead

This trigger will add new Intercom leads to a Flow in Encharge. 

Intercom defines leads as a person who hasn’t yet signed up for your product (or sometimes, a user who’s not logged in). If someone starts a conversation with you in Intercom Messenger, they are automatically saved as a lead. You can also import leads via CSV. 

Note that Intercom leads are different from Intercom users. To add Intercom users to Encharge Flow please use the New Intercom User trigger.

Connecting Intercom

Before you can use this trigger you need to connect your Intercom account to Encharge. To do that go to your apps, select Intercom, click on Connect and log inто your Intercom account. Finally, authorize Encharge.

Note that you can currently have just one Intercom account connected to Encharge.

Alternatively, you can connect Intercom directly from the New Intercom Lead step. 

How to set up New Intercom Lead trigger?

No setup is required on this trigger step; simply connect it to an action and activate the Flow. 

To map fields from Intercom go to your apps page, click on Intercom, and then select the Map Fields tab. Note that for the Intercom integration you only need to map your fields once – any Intercom-related steps in the Flow builder will use that mapping.

Common questions

Will this trigger automatically import existing leads from Intercom?

No. This trigger will only add new Intercom leads (e.g., after your Flow is activated.)

If I import leads to Intercom will they enter a Flow through this trigger?

No, this feature is currently not supported by Intercom. However, tags applied during an import will trigger the Tagged in Intercom step so you could use it instead.
