Flow Template: Nudge Long-Term Customer to Upgrade to Annual Subscription

Keep your long-term customers happy to prevent churn and increase your customer adoption. Learn how an easy-to-set-up flow can help you achieve this by nudging them to upgrade to an annual subscription with a special offer or discount. Watch this video to learn more:

Link Stripe and Use Activated Subscription to Trigger the Flow

You can link your Stripe account with Encharge within the Stripe Activated Subscription trigger. Make sure to map the appropriate fields on the Map Fields tab for this trigger to work.

Add a Wait Step to Reach Out to Long-Term Customers

Once your subscribers join the flow via the trigger step, send them to a Wait step and set the number of days when they will be considered long-term customers. The Wait step on this flow template is set to 90 days, but it could be more than that depending on your preference.

Filter Out Active Stripe Accounts that are on Monthly Plans

The next step that you need to add is the Check Field filter. This will be used to check if the Stripe Status is "active" and the Stripe.Plan Interval is "month". This will ensure that you only reach out to customers with an active monthly plan.

When connecting the filter to the next step, see to it that you select "Yes" on the "Proceed on" window as shown below:

Send an Email with the Offer to Upgrade to an Annual Plan

Use the Send Email step to nudge your active-monthly-plan subscribers to upgrade to the Annual Plan with an offer for a discounted price. You can set the subject of the email to something like "Get 20% off when you switch to the Annual plan" to make the email more appealing and to increase the chance of getting it opened. Additionally, show the subscribers the price comparison and a call-to-action button to get them to upgrade their plan.
